Marrow in Cod Army frame

Midfielder Alex Marrow could feature for Fleetwood after joining on loan in time for the home clash with Hartlepool.

Marrow is back with the Cod Army, whom he spent time with last campaign, after rejoining for the rest of the season from Blackburn on Monday and he played in a reserve game in midweek to improve his fitness.

Stephen Jordan, long troubled by a groin problem, also played in that game and the full-back would give boss Graham Alexander another option with Shaun Beeley (hamstring) still out.

Alexander's only other absentee is striker Jamille Matt, who remains sidelined because of a long-term ankle injury.

Hartlepool's new signing Marlon Harewood could make his debut.

The former Nottingham Forest and West Ham striker will go straight into the squad after arriving at Victoria Park this week, but fellow forward James Poole is doubtful due to a hamstring strain that forced him out of last week's home defeat to Rochdale.

Boss Colin Cooper will be without defender Michael Duckworth, sidelined for a month following a double hernia operation, so Jordan Richards will resume at full-back.

Winger Jack Compton (calf) is pushing for a recall to the starting line-up after stepping off the bench last week as Pools chase back-to-back away league wins.
